The National Coast Guard (NCG) retrieved a third debris measuring 60 by 40 centimetres on Tuesday on Gris Gris beach.
The debris is suspected to originate from the MH370 flight of the Malaysia Airlines. The Malaysian Department of Civil Aviation has already called for additional details about the debris found before deciding whether to delegate experts to Mauritius to collect it. Another debris was also discovered by a tourist fifteen days earlier at Ilot Bernache. The debris was handed over to the NCG by a skipper on Tuesday. Examination of the two fragments is closely monitored by Captain Saurabh Thakur, Commander of the NCG, as well as many international bloggers specialised in aviation.
