Radio Plus turns into Santa Claus for orphans

As Christmas is over now, the Mauritians are preparing with great pomp to welcome New Year 2019. The same joy can be felt around the whole island. Houses are illuminated. Seizing this opportunity, Radio Plus chose to bring a smile on the face of 100 children. It offered a recreational day at the Casela World of Adventures to children from five orphanages on Monday of 24th December. Children and teenagers between the ages of one to 17 have had the opportunity to visit the leisure park and enjoy various activities on offer, such as the zip line and safari, among others. Mauritians donated more than 1,000 toys and school materials to Radio Plus to be shared among the poor children. Venen Coolen, director of the antenna at the Radio Plus Station, expressed great satisfaction and gratitude towards the generosity of the Mauritians. The gifts were distributed by Santa Claus. A mobile studio was set up for the occasion.  Radio Plus team visited different regions of the island in the evening for the second stage of the gift distribution.
