Sheereen Jaulim appointed Consulate in Ohio, USA

Dr. Sheereen Jaulim has been named Honorary Consulate of Mauritius in Ohio, United States. Residing in the States for a dozen of years, Dr. Sheereen Jaulim is now in charge of supporting the Mauritian nationals in the State of Ohio and also the neighbouring ones.

“I wanted to serve my country and so I applied to become a consulate. The request was accepted and I am very honoured,” she said. Married to Maher Soudah, a doctor of Palestinian origin, Sheereen Jaulim has two children, aged eight and five.

Sister-in-law of MSM MP Zouberr Joomaye, Sheereen studied medicine in the United States from 1996 to 2000 before returning to Mauritius. Six years later, she returned to settle there. It should be noted that as a consulate, she receives no salary from the Mauritian government.
