Omnicane proceeded to the official launch of the first phase of the Smart City residential complex last Saturday. With the launch of this new phase of its development, Mon Trésor becomes the first Smart City of the country to cross another stage of its realisation in the wake of the Holiday Inn Mauritius hotel, the Business Gateway and the works leading to the realisation of the Freeport Zone.

The inauguration of the residential phase regrouped professionals from the sector. Mon Trésor proposes a harmonious urban development, rigorously planned, responding to International standards. It implies respect for the environment in a natural setting, combining green spaces and coastal sides reflecting the Live-Work-Play concept.
Omnicane’s Mon Trésor development site will also meet internationally recognised design methods and acknowledged international assessment codes for a “Sustainable Built Environment.” The framework to the implementation of Mon Trésor development is monitored by BREEAM. Mon Trésor is the first BREEAM Communities Interim Certificate to be awarded in the southern hemisphere for a Smart City development site, demonstrating Omnicane’s sustainability leadership credentials.
Omnicane’s Sustainability Features include: Smart Mobility, Smart Connectivity, Sustainable Energy Management, Sustainable Water Management and Green Environment. In line with the Live-Work-Play concept, Mon Trésor residences will offer a daily relaxing and fulfilling, promoting the balance between private life, professional life and community life. “Focusing on mobility, connectivity and accessibility, the cluster presents various pedestrian and bicycle paths. This component draws inspiration from especially nature, including the inclusion of facilities such as a beach club, the open access to the beaches, a sports complex, as well as a central park,” emphasized Joël Bruneau, Head of Property Development of Omnicane.
The launch of the residential offer includes a promotional opening for the 100 first buyers, who will be able to benefit from a preferential membership rate at Avalon Golf and Country Club, while all residents will be offered an electric vehicle to promote smoother mobility.
