Imagine no social media! Wait,what?

Facebook

‘Imagine’ is not an easy word as reiterated by J.Lenon in his track. So is ‘Social Media’ when it comes to interacting with others. Many have found success while some have drowned themselves in this gloomy world searching for happiness and conquering over their solitude. A virtual world for those who live in it and aninquisitive one for those watching over other people’s affairs. Many who have not hit the registered button yet, are considered anti-social maybe but are more likely to have found the oasis of serenity in life. But it has also been proven to be beneficial in terms of communication and news sharing, likewise this article maybe. But what if all the platforms for social media were withdrawn?

The human mind will not remain idle, it will always try keeping itself busy. It certainly will cause an impact on those who live in it and a crisis for those addicted. With-drawing from such lifestyle might feel uncanny for a while. It can be fine living a lifestyle without social media which has taken most of our time when sharing unnecessary photos to impressorscrolling up and down your timelinejust to keep busy (i.e. at work, home, on the bus or train) and avoidingbeing invasive inothers’ life. Is it a modern therapy put in place to distract our mind from stress, unwanted thoughts, or just sit back and let the time pass by? Imag-ine, with no such platforms, we will for sure develop an-other means of distraction to defeat this feeling of being detached from this world. Of course, not asking to rebuild-ing humanity (even though some might feel so) but to adapt to this new change and explore the reality. For sure those who like interacting, will find a way to socialise.

This can also be a great opportunity in doing what we al-ways wanted to do, like hobbies, exploring and travelling the world (not via photos) and it has been proven to also behealthy and physically fit. This might feel likea decelera-tion in time which can be an opportunity to engage and bond with the close ones. Also, bearing in mind that stronger friendship comes from real life interactions than from the virtual world.

Imagine for an instance not holding our mobile phone for weeks or not having any sort of technology incorporated with any social media apps. This feeling can only be ap-preciated by none but only ourself depending on its impact and how it has been dealt with. However, in line with the evolution of technology, social medias will always be a part of our life as it has also proven to bring benefits, enjoyment and many other facilities, these advantages are what keep us humans from exploring more and never will social media be eradicated.

However, limiting its use has a positive outcome especially when refraining from sharing personal stuff‘all the time’. We are not all loved and appreciated by everyone, the cause is jealousy, hatred, enemies and so on, and those poor soulsare always the first to creep up on our posts.Whether social media is beneficial or not, it will be for each of us to decide.
