She is the first IFSA Accredited Feng Shui Master in Mauritius. Vijayal Sunassee received the Master accreditation of International Feng Shui Association (IFSA) on 9th November. On the same occasion, Mauritius was granted the Certificate of acceptance for IFSA Chapter in Singapore at the 16th international Convention.
Founding member of International Feng Shui Association (Mauritius) Chapter, Vijayal Sunassee started to study Feng Shui nearly 20 years back. It is in 2003 that she discovered Feng Shui and the books of the Master Lilian Too during a trip abroad. She then started to travel to Malaysia annually to attend Feng Shui classes taught by The World of Feng Shui. After a lengthy career in the public sector, she retired in 2008 and decided to dedicate herself completely to her passion, which is Feng Shui.
Director of Sikada Co ltd and Sikada Consultants Ltd, she obtained the franchise of retail shop World of Feng Shui from Lillian Too in 2009 and has since then been operating the retail shop in Belle Rose to date. Vijayal Sunassee also teaches Classical Feng Shui and does consultations for homes, offices and commercial buildings based on the above schools of Feng Shui. She also gives consultations in Bazi (Destiny Analysis), which is a tool based on one’s date and hour of birth, converted into elements, and which gives a very accurate roadmap to a person’s good luck and bad luck periods. Master Vijayal Sunassee joined the IFSA at its 14th Convention in Manila in 2017. This was the first time meeting of all the Grand Masters and accredited Masters from around the world.
During a press conference where she announced her accreditation as Master, Vijayal Sunassee stated that the aim of becoming a master and the aim of instituting the IFSA (Mauritius) Chapter is to bring an expertise and improve the way buildings and houses are designed and built. “Through the IFSA (Mauritius) Chapter, I personally aim, as a Master, to encourage professionals who are in the building and construction field to follow basic courses to learn what should be done or not. For example, not to build a house at a dead end or not to cut the land in a triangular shape, among others. These are simple things which professionals are not aware of,” she said.
Vijayal Sunassee underlined that Feng Shui is about living happily and in harmony in your house with your family. “There are lots of misinterpretations when it comes to Feng Shui. Some people tend to think it is about changing your life and becoming rich. This is when people are often disappointed and think that it does not work.” However, she stated that there are many more adherents to Feng Shui nowadays. “Feng Shui should be used from the very beginning when one has the intention to buy or build his/her house. It will ensure harmony in the design of the house. However, Feng Shui also works in houses that are already built and in which people live. The Master must then visit the house to know what should be done to re-establish the harmony.”
WHAT IS FENG SHUI?
Feng Shui is the ancient Chinese art and science of harnessing the energies of Heaven and Earth to bring health, wealth and good fortune, by tuning in to the environment, seasonal changes and vibrations of nature.
Feng Shui prescribes the way of living in a state of harmony and balance with the physical environment and the intangible energy, in order to enjoy good fortune. Feng Shui is not linked to religion nor to superstitions and is not magic.
Feng means wind and Shui means water. These elements carry the invisible life energy force ch’i. The mapping of these ch’i flows with a professional Feng Shui compass known as the LUOPAN, and their deflection or enhancement are the main principles of Feng Shui.
The ancient Chinese discovered that different kinds of energies exist in our environment and which have a significant impact on our daily life.
A good practice of Feng Shui in our residence or workplace will help to create a harmonious, healthy and prosperous environment.
The correct placement of symbols can make an enormous difference to your life - they can improve your love life, career, health and make things go your way.
Feng Shui does not claim to bring you overnight success or to win the lottery. However, it can definitely enhance your good fortune, just as it can mitigate your misfortune.
Classical Feng Shui uses the Landform, Eight Mansions, Flying Star, Bazi (Destiny analysis) methods in analysing the energy of space. There are also divination methods directly linked to Feng Shui like the I Ching, Zi Wei Dou Shu and Qi Men Dun Jia.
