Sometimes we remain amazed in front of remarkable drawings and paintings and wonder how some people have extraordinary drawing skills and how effortlessly they can transmit their emotions and state of mind on a piece of paper. Estelle is one those artists who has an inner talent as well as a passion for art. Drawing since she was 9, Estelle’s zeal led her little by little to develop her artistic talents.
Of mixed origin, namely Indian and Malagasy, Estelle was fortunate to grow up amidst several cultures since her childhood. As she grew up, her passion and desire to make meaningful drawings and paintings flourished and she started using brushes and acrylic paint. Her multicultural background later inspired her for art pieces and she could also count on her parent’s support to embark on an artistic pathway.
As a testimony of her great skills, Estelle received in 2014 the ‘Silver Medal of Arts and Culture’ from the hands of the president of the International Federation of Tourism. The award aims at rewarding young artists for the quality and creativity of their work. Settled in Mauritius since then, Estelle has been pursuing her artistic journey at the Osstie gallery at Pereybère.
It is thus a big step forward for the artist who is presenting her first solo exhibition ‘Joy and Colours’ (Joie et Couleurs). “It is with great emotion and pleasure that I am presenting my latest art works at the Henessy Park Hotel,” she said. Estelle loves bright colours, colours that give joy and warm the heart. She likes to give life to beauty, nature, simplicity through her art pieces and holds a strong desire to want to share his emotions and sensitivity. “The message I want to convey is primarily a creative message which says that everything is possible even in the impossible.”
Imbued with her passion for the imaginary, tenderness and creativity, her paintings will trigger your imagination and carry it away in a world full of wonders. In fact, her art pieces cater for all ages. The young as well as the old can already rejoice to acquire one of her art works, as she has a unique signature in the art world, namely her nature and animal style.
Estelle Indra is proud to share that she has already started preparing for her second exhibition in Mauritius. You can discover her chef d’oeuvres until September 16 at the Henessy as well as visit the gallery Osstie situated at Pereybère.
