At around 16:00, it was peak time at this Constituency with 5,522 voters. Just one hour before the gate closing, a crowd of people was assembled at the Phoenix Government School. A jovial and happy atmosphere prevailed all around the Constituency. 28 candidates are running for the polls.

Kushal Lobine, candidate of L’Alliance Nationale, stated that despite the missing names of some electors, the day went well and at end, he hopes democracy wins. Along with other running mates Patrick Gervais Assirvaden and Cader Sayed Hossen, they roamed around to see how things went.
Sir Anerood Jugnauth and his wife Lady Sarojini Jugnauth came to cast their votes in this Constituency. They were proudly welcomed by the L’Alliance Morisien candidates Mahen Jhugroo, Gilbert Bablee and Mahmadally Burkutoola.
In the MMM camp, Frederic Cure declared that it has been a good day with no conflict among the different parties. Along with Gaytree Dayal and Fazleck Hosseny, they circulated in the different towns and met their agents.
