Police cracks down on drones

The police are informing the public that according to the Civil Aviation (Amendment) Regulations 2016, it is prohibited to fly/operate drones within a 15 nautical miles radius around SSR International Airport without the permission of the Director of Civil Aviation. Flying an unauthorised drone within the region is an offence under the Civil Aviation Regulations 2007, carries a fine not exceeding Rs10,000 and maximum two months imprisonment.
