Five youths to participate in Robotics Olympic Games

Five young science and technology enthusiasts will be representing Mauritius in the international competition, the FIRST Global Challenge 2019. Selected by the NGO Youth United in Voluntary Action (YUVA), the students will fly to Dubai in October to compete in the Robotics Olympic Games.

Data scientist at the South African Radio Astronomy Observatory, Dr Nadeem Oozeer has a profound passion for astronomy. Being the only Mauritian working for the organisation for almost a decade, he obtained several international awards. Naeem Oozeer was appointed the IAU National Outreach Coordinator (IAU-NOC) for Mauritius since 2018. He shares with us his rich career and his projects.
