Club M seeks glory against Reunion in rematch of 2003 final

Mauritius aims at winning the football competition of the Indian Ocean Island Games for a third time after the 1985 and 2003 editions. In 2003, the Patel Boys won against Reunion Island and they will try to make sure history repeats itself this Saturday at the George V Stadium, in Curepipe, as they face Club R in what is expected to be a tight encounter.

Akbar Patel, head coach: “We will stick to our game plan”

National football coach Akbar Patel is fully focused on the final against Reunion this Saturday. According to him, the Mauritian players will not let themselves be intimidated by Club R and will stick to the game plan for the final.
