University of Northampton opens in Mauritius

Amity Global Business School (AGBS) entered into partnership with the University of Northampton (UN). The official launch was done on Tuesday at Ebene in the presence of Executive Dean of UN Business School, Ian Brook, and Prof Armoogum Parsuramen. The Director of AGBS, Dr Dhananjay Keskar, emphasised on the vision and strength of Amity Education Group worldwide. “Amity Global Business School (AGBS) is part of the leading world-wide Amity Education Group which has over two decades of experience in the field of education. Ian Brooks stated that UN is a medium-sized university with 14,000 students and around 2,000 international students. “The University of Northampton (UN) has entered into an agreement with Amity Education Group to whereby Amity Global Business School (AGBS) will deliver programmes of UN in Mauritius and some other countries. UN considers Mauritius to be a growing study destination for local and international students who wish to undertake a quality UK Higher education qualification,” he averred. According to him, youth unemployment is a global issue. A new campus in Reduit will be set up by AGBS and it will introduce new career oriented courses to address the issue of employability.
