Shell Smiling Stars : Vivo Energy Mauritius brilliantly represented in Dubai

Two Mauritians recently represented Vivo Energy Mauritius in Dubai for the Shell Smiling Stars 2018 ceremony. With a network of more than 30,000 service stations in more than 65 countries, the Shell Group organises this event yearly to reward the performance and excellence of all its employees in stations around the world. 

After Tokyo, Paris and New York, it was the turn of Dubai, the ultramodern city of the United Arab Emirates, to host the best distributors of Shell products and top territorial officials. Mauritians Rana Masud and Radha Bhuvanesh, respectively manager of the Shell service station at Diolle and Quality Marshall at Shell Ebene, were appointed to represent Vivo Energy Mauritius at this 2018 edition of Shell Smiling Stars.

The culmination of this recognition program was a series of activities in Dubai, namely dinner on the dunes, conference, excursions and a big gala evening. “Through this program, the Shell Group values the tremendous work done on its sites to offer premium and irreproachable service to its customers,” said Kiran Juwaheer, Managing Director of Vivo Energy Mauritius. He added that “the annual Shell Smiling Stars is also a unique opportunity for our employees to strengthen an already established network and share their experiences with representatives from different countries.”

Rana Masud, manager of the Shell petrol station in Diolle, stated that the program has enriched his knowledge of customer relations. “Upon my return to Mauritius, I met my whole team to share with them the various lessons I learned at this event.”  Radha Bhuvanesh, Quality Marshall at Shell Ebene, on his part, said that this trip has been rewarding for both his personal and professional development. “I encourage my colleagues at Shell service stations to give their best every day, with the hope to live the same experience, too.”

The next edition of Shell Smiling Stars will be held in Sydney, Australia, in 2019.
