For each Rs 500 purchases at McDonald's or at a Shell service station, customers were eligible to participate in the competition. It is thanks to his aunt Priscilla Ramkelawon, holder of the SmartClub loyalty card, that Keshan Sohodeb will live the experience of a Player Escort on the football pitch during opening match, on 14th June in Moscow.

“It's hard to imagine how I will be feeling when I will enter the field while holding a player's hand. It is definitely an experience that I will live thinking about my country and all my friends,” uttered Keshan Sohodeb. He will travel with his aunt. The all inclusive trip will also include a VIP hotel package.

“The players’ entry on the field is a very strong moment prior to the beginning of a football match, especially in a competition as prestigious as the World Cup,” said Kiran Juwaheer, Managing Director of Vivo Energy Mauritius, the company holding the Shell franchise in Mauritius.

He added that “this is an opportunity that we wanted to offer to all Mauritians, who will undoubtedly share the same emotion as their young compatriot.” The other featured prize in this promotional campaign involved two tickets to the World Cup final.
