Casela Nature and Leisure Park

Casela Nature and Leisure Park invites you to spend a thrilling experience. During the school holidays, enjoy unique activities at discount prices. From Monday to Friday, kids will learn more about the animals at the very entrance of the park through the free Animal Talks. Kids aged 4 to 12 can enjoy daily pony rides at the price of Rs 55 as well as Tilapia Fishing at Rs 95. Those who look forward to bond with animals can enjoy the petting farm for Rs 40 and feed the Lorikeet and giraffes. The interaction with the Hippo is suitable for kids as from age 5. This new activity takes place everyday between 9.30am to 3.30pm at the price of Rs 2,000 (4 persons). Among the other amusing activities that kids will enjoy: face painting as from age 3 at the price of Rs 50, discover the animal caretaker job (as from 8 to 14 years) on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at the price of Rs 1,200. Those who are interested to volunteer at the park (as from 16 years old) are encouraged to send their CV along a cover letter.

CocoTown Holiday Program

Until May 16, fun and educative activities await you at CocoTown Kids, in Trianon. From Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm, kids can enjoy themselves with indoor games among bouncy castles, costumes, chess game and dance. At the price of Rs 600 (non-members) daily with lunch included, your kids will enjoy themselves. Optional outings are also available, these include Black River Nature Walk and Ile aux Aigrettes at additional cost. Until the 10th April, Dood’s Caravan will be around Mauritius to sensitise the youth as well as adults about natural disasters and how to prepare ourselves to face it. Each year, the Mauritius Red Cross organises sensitisation events to give the opportunity to the young and old to learn how to save lives and to prepare for natural disasters under the programming project ‘Building Safer Communities resilient in Mauritius and Rodrigues’ (OS2). The program aims to provide awareness sessions on impacts of natural hazards and climate change on Mauritius. Together with partners, the Mauritius Red Cross is thus organising the ‘Caravan Dood’ with the aim to inform and initiate people, especially the youth who are in school holidays on life-saving actions, risk reduction and risk awareness of natural disasters and road safety. Save the dates to meet Dood and his friends: on 8 April at La Croisette Shopping Mall, on 9 April at Flacq Coeur de Ville and on 10 April at Bagatelle Shopping Mall.

La Vanille Nature Park

Enjoy a special ‘Holiday’ promotion at La Vanille Nature Park till 17 April. You will have the chance to spend a fabulous day by having an exclusive encounter with the animals, enjoy daily pony rides, and see the impressive crocodiles and giant tortoise of the park. You can also enjoy activities among: Meals Crocodile: all day at 11:30 except on Mondays and Fridays, Meeting with Octar iguana: every day at 10:30 to 14:30 and photo session with baby crocodile: all day (surcharge). Adults tickets are at Rs 235 and Children (3 to 12 years) at Rs110. Note that when purchasing an adult ticket, a ticket for a child is offered for free. La Vanille Nature Park is open seven days a week from 8:30 am to 5 pm.    

Hiking by T1 Diams

To allow you to make the most of the school holidays, T1 Diams association is organising an exclusive outdoor activity. A hike will be organised on Saturday 12 April for diabetic members who are aged over 12 years. The hike will start at Petrin at 8 am to end at Rivière Noire at around 3 pm. Participants will cover a 12 km trail.
