Rs1.6 million marijuana plants uprooted

During a raid at Camp Diable on Tuesday, 505 cannabis plants were discovered. The street value of the plants is estimated at Rs 1.5 million. The drug Squad in the Eastern Division conducted two operations: Queen Victoria and St Julien. With the support of the police helicopter, 53 cannabis plants measuring between 15 cm and 1.10m were uprooted. Their value is estimated at Rs 159,000. An investigation is underway to identify the growers.
