LUX* Grand Gaube reopened its doors on Saturday 23rd December. The completely and newly renovated property now features a spacious lobby area offering stunning ocean views on the scenic Flat Island. Kelly Hoppen, a South African interior designer, worked on her magic to create a simple yet refined decor, making guests feel at home while being transported to an extraordinary world, true to the vision of the architect Jean-François Adam.

The revamped villas of LUX* Grand Gaube now feature beautiful terraces, some with outdoor bathtubs and geometric encaustic tiles that add personality to the bathrooms. The hotel has six restaurants and seven bars, some of which are exclusive to Mauritius.
Fresh cooked meals can be savoured in all the seven restaurants which have ‘live cooking’ stations. The Palm Court Restaurant allows the guests to enjoy the sun or the sparkling stars in the sky at night through the glass ceilings.
The open and interactive kitchen in the heart of the Palm Court allows guests to enjoy both culinary classics as well as the theatricality of teppanyaki, sushi, homemade kombucha, smoked fish, tasty curries with tandoor-baked ‘naan’ bread, and Cantonese or Sichuan sautéed on demand.
The Palm Court Bar also has the largest selection of Prosecco and Cider in the country, and six unique craft beers, local and imported. INTI is the first restaurant in Mauritius to offer Andean cuisine (Argentina and Peru) and vibrates to the rhythm of Latin music every evening.
As a tribute to the award-winning LUX* hotel in Turkey, LUX* Grand Gaube’s Bodrum Blue serves fresh seafood from the Indian Ocean, accompanied by excellent Turkish wines. The wellness area is a haven for those who need to relax or rejuvenate, or who want to get back in shape with a next-generation weight training or fitness session.
The Parisian Carita Haute Beauté brand provides guests with its high-performance anti-aging skin regenerating care that combines micro-current ultrasound and LED technologies.
LUX* Grand Gaube is the first hotel in Mauritius to have an Essie ‘nail bar’ and an internationally renowned salon, London’s Murdock’s, with its signature wet shave, beard and mustache treatments.
A specialized health program is also offered by Kamran Bedi, of Mind Body Method, an expert in neurolinguistic programming, hypnotherapist, meditation teacher and Pilates instructor. Artworks of artists such as Camille Walala and original Gouzou graffiti can be found throughout the hotel.
“Every opening of an establishment offers new reasons to discover LUX* holidays. Thus, the reopening of LUX* Grand Gaube gives us the opportunity to launch the concept ‘4 Reasons to go LUX*’ more attractive than ever with Beach Bento, Veggie Heaven, Padel Tennis and the G & T 100 Club”, says Brice Lunot, General Manager of LUX* Grand Gaube
