Rakesh Gooljaury gets community service

The three month jail sentence inflicted upon businessman Rakesh Gooljaury has been commuted to 90 hours of community service. He was found guilty of “conspiracy” regarding a complaint he filed in 2013 following an incident at the bungalow of former prime minsiter Navin Ramgoolam. As from May 25, Gooljaury will have to carry out community service at the Probation Hostel for Boys in Curepipe. He will be working there every Wednesday and Friday as from 10 am until noon.
