The recruitment of young talents is on again by PwC. After a successful first edition, PwC Mauritius has officially launched the second edition of the NextGenFactor competition on Wednesday. The competition is open to students from institutions of higher education and vocational training.

The competition innovates this year by extending the registration to Mauritians currently studying at a foreign university. Candidates from various fields of expertise are expected to form a team of four to five people to participate in the competition. At the end, the winners will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 200,000, while the runner-up will receive Rs 40,000. The deadline to register is Monday 18 September.

The idea behind NextGenFactor is to identify young talent by inviting them to propose solutions based on a case study of a company. PwC encourages young people to form a team of diverse skills ranging from computer science to human resources, including engineering, finance and social sciences.

To register, applicants must form teams and register online on the Careers page of the PwC website at www.pwc.com/mu/careers. They shall propose a solution, in the form of a report, to the case of study submitted to them. The shortlisted teams will then be invited to present their solution to a panel of PwC professionals chaired by a partner of the firm. The jury will be responsible for evaluating the proposed solutions, the individual work of each team member and selecting the shortlisted candidates.

Team members need to be between 18 – 25 years old by close of registration date (18 September 2017). Team members may not be in employment (part-time/full-time) for the duration of the competition.
