The Utility Regulatory Authority (URA) has announced the appointments of Philip Ah-Chuen as Chairperson and Rosemary Anodin as Commissioner of its Board this week. Philip Ah-Chuen, who has been the Commissioner at the URA on its inception, has been appointed to replace Prof. Goolam Mohamedbhai, who had resigned on January 22nd, 2018. Mr. Ah-Chuen is currently the Executive Director of Allied Motors Co. Ltd, a non-executive director of SBM Bank (Mauritius) Ltd. as well as a Commissioner for the Public Service Commission.

Mrs. Rosemary Elizabeth Winifred Anodin, who was appointed on May 25th 2018, as Commissioner of the Board, will work in collaboration with the other two Commissioners, namely, Rampiar Luchmun-Roy and Sadatmanund Narain. Mrs. Anodin has had a long career in the legal profession.
