The Shiva Yoga Centre Mont Goût, in collaboration with Terragris Ltd and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, is organising a painting exhibition of the artwork of the Young Talents 2016 on Sunday December 4th at Château Ville Bague, Grande Rosalie, The Mount, Pamplemousses. Face painting and mehendi application session by the ‘Jeunes Espoirs de la Peinture Mauricienne’ group are also on the programme. The event will be taking place from 9am to 13.30pm. Fancy Fair at Mont Choisy Mall

The Mont Choisy Mall is organising a grand fany-fair this Saturday December 3rd from 10am to 4pm. A series of fun and free activities for young and old are on the programme namely: rodeo bull, bouncing castle, face painting, hoop shot and target shot, real-life size indoor games namely Puissance 4, Snakes & Ladders, OX, duck hunt. Food will be sold on site as well as clothes, jewellery, bags and other accessories. There will also be a mehendi application corner.

Enjoy a day at La Vanille Nature Park, Rivière des Anguilles with the promotional holiday prices. Till 10th January, entry fees for Mauritians will be at Rs 110 for children up to 12 years and Rs 235 for adults. You will have the opportunity to see the many species such as 2,000 crocodiles and the 500 giant tortoises. You can also enjoy a pony ride and a lovely and caring time with animals in the pet farm. La Vanille Nature Park is open 7 days a week from 8.30 am to 5 pm.

You are a fan or karting? The newly launched Casela Karting is an exciting outdoor track located in Cascavelle shopping mall. Open 7 days a week from 11h00 to 23h00, it is the only racing track in Mauritius with a cosy sports bar. Whether you are seeking an adrenaline rush amongst friends or an outing for a corporate team building event, thrills and fun will be guaranteed in an F1 ambiance. CocoTown has various activities in the box for you. Here’s how you can spend your free time kids: till 30th December enjoy the holiday program which is full of activities and outings. Note that outings take place every Thursday. You can book for the following outings: Club Med 1st December

Discover sea life at Blue Bay beach

After a successful first edition, the Lagon Bleu association is back with the “Anou dekouver nou fon marin” event. The event, which aims at giving Mauritians, young and old, the opportunity  to discover the beauty of the local marine ecosystem and the importance of protecting it, is taking place on December 10th on the Blue Bay public beach. A series of activities to sensitise the grand public will be organised by Lagon Bleu association. Activities range from snorkelling for the beginners and experienced people as well. Beach games, educative workshops on coral reefs, mangroves, etc. In addition the program presents an exhibition of the works undertaken by the various non-governmental Organizations which militate for the preservation of the marine environment. This activity will be held from 9am to 4pm. This event is a result of the Lagon Bleu project, carried out by the NGO Eco-Sud, whose mission is to contribute to restoring the ecological and biological integrity of the site by raising awareness among fishermen, tourism operators and coastal residents.

AIESEC Youth Speak Forum

What better way to increase your knowledge, make friends and learn more about leadership than to attend the friendly workshop during your holidays organised by AIESEC. A branch of the group from the Middlesex University is organising a Youth Speak Forum on Saturday December 3rd at the Middlesex University, Bonne Terre. Various participants will intervene and deliver speeches as from 10am. They will share their experiences and their knowledge about leadership. Among the speakers: Nadine Catherine, chairperson of the National Women Entrepreneur Council and director of TASK Consulting and Training for International Hospitality. Entrance is free.
