The Court of Bologna in Italy rejected on Thursday the request of the Mauritian authorities demanding the extradition of the businesswoman Nandanee Soornack. This news was confirmed to Radio Plus by her lawyer Savina Boodhoo. She was arrested in Parma 16 April 2015, at the request of the Mauritian authorities. The businesswoman, who was close to the former Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam, contested the demand of the Central CID for questioning her regarding conflict of interest and money laundering charges.
