Sada Curpen was acquitted on Thursday in the case of the murder of Denis Fine. He was charged with conspiracy in the wake for the murder of Denis Fine, committed on 3rd January 2010. In his judgement, Magistrate Vijay Appadoo felt that there was insufficient evidence to establish that Sada Curpen had given instructions to kill the victim. The evidence was deemed to be “hearsay” by the court.

On the other hand, Christophe Legrand and Prinslet Serret, alias Polocco, prosecuted in the same case, were found guilty. The court considers that it can rely without fear on the confessions of Christophe Legrand.
The testimony of Marie Christina Castor, former girlfriend of the accused Polocco, was also taken into account. The court found that she “told the truth about the plan to kill Denis Fine at his residence.” On the 18th of January the court will pronounce its verdict against Christophe Legrand and Patrick Steeve Prinsley Serret.
