The Monster Quest, a national treasure hunt by Dodo Quest and Echobox - a creative company that organises corporate and outdoor events in Mauritius, was held on Saturday in the western region at Riverland Tamarin, between 11 am and 5 pm. A first on the local entertainment scene, the event was partnered with the energy drink Monster Energy, marketed by the PhoenixBev group, hence the name 'Monster Quest'.

During the game, there were about 300 participants, split into teams of five, tackling creative tasks that allowed them to solve ridiculous and ingenious puzzles around the theme of the flagship series' Game of Thrones. So they travelled half the island by car, in a jovial atmosphere, to take up the Monster challenge. The key is a cash prize of Rs 20,000.
“Monster Energy has partnered with this event to provide participants with an unusual experience. The teams had to give the best of themselves and overcome the challenges in a limited time. The objective of this treasure hunt was above all to have fun and discover the country differently, and we can say that it was a great success. All we had to do was see the enthusiasm of the participants!” said Diana Chakowa-Colleemallay, Senior Brand Manager at PhoenixBev.
The event ended with a festive atmosphere at Riverland Tamarin, where the awards ceremony, a BBQ and a lively evening were held. The biggest winner of Monster Quest is the Alpha Pack team, led Ghazaalah Tegally, who finished the competition in 5 hours 52 minutes and 42 seconds. The names of the winners are as follows: Ghazaalah Tegally, Houriiyah Tegally, Nawsheen Tegally Denmamode, Abdur-Rahmaan Denmamode and Zaheer Allam.
