Media Trust Board: Four Défi Media Group journalists elected 

Four journalists from the Défi Media Group have won the seats on the Media Trust Board. The election took place on Wednesday at its headquarters in Port Louis. In the Editors-in-Chief category, Jean-Luc Emile and Manouraj Gungea will sit on the Board. They have been elected without opposition as they were the only two candidates. As for the Journalists category, there were six candidates. Kamlesh Bhuckory from the Défi Media Group, Florian Lepoigneur from l’Express, Jean-Claude Le Roy from Maurice Info, Vel Moonien from the Défi Media Group, Martine Theodore-Lajoie from La Vie Catholique and Gaëlle Tossé of ION News. Out of 154 ballots, it was Vel Moonien who came in first with 82 votes. Kamlesh Bhuckory was elected with 62 votes, he precedes Florian Lepoigneur by two votes. It should be noted that 154 of the 527 registered voters went to the polls, which represents only 29.2%.
