LUX* Belle Mare bags three trophies at International Hotel Awards 2017-2018

LUX* Belle Mare, the flagship hotel of LUX* group, has won three awards at the International Hotel Awards 2017-2018 for the Africa region. The establishment, which has been voted ‘Best Large Hotel Mauritius’, ‘Best Sustainable Hotel Mauritius’ and ‘Best Sustainable Hotel Africa’, has automatically qualified for the International Five-Star Standard namely for the ‘Best International Sustainable Hotel’ award.

The awards ceremony took place on 7th September at the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel in Dubai. “We are very proud of these three new awards, which underscore our commitment, as an operator of the tourism industry, to respect the environment and other social causes. These trophies also strengthen the LUX* brand in the hotel industry and places Mauritius at the heart of the most sustainable tourism destinations, which, in our business, is a major asset,” said Ashish Modak, director of LUX* Belle Mare.

The prestigious International Hotel Awards have been designed to identify, highlight and reward excellence in the global hospitality industry in a wide range of areas. Prices are divided into regions covering Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Africa, the Americas, the Caribbean, Europe and the United Kingdom. The contest is open to hoteliers, developers and hotel builders, interior architects and architects, public relations companies, advertising agencies and web designers. It covers 17 categories. LUX* Belle Mare has won several prestigious international awards, including Travelife Gold Certification for demonstrating its commitment to sustainable development.
