L’Aventure du Sucre receives three new distinctions

It has been captivating and serving Mauritians and tourists from all around the world through its unique museum, boutique, restaurant and tea salon for 15 years. L’Aventure du Sucre has received for the fourth consecutive year the Certificate of Excellence 2016 from the international travel website TripAdvisor. In addition, it has received two other distinctions from international website TripExpert. 

Located in the heart of the Domaine de Beau Plan, Pamplemouses, L’Aventure du Sucre has been attracting locals as well as international visitors for its unique concept and setting. Through its 15 years of presence in the north of the island, L’Aventure du Sucre’s museum on the history of sugar in Mauritius and its restaurant Le Fangourin serving refined local cuisine have both known much success.

Sign of the customers’ appreciation and its excellent service, L’Aventure du Sucre has received excellent ratings on the well-known travel website TripAdvisor. This has led to the establishment being awarded, for the fourth year in a row, the Certificate of Excellence award from TripAdvisor for its unique museum, set up in an old factory, and restaurant. 

It is more than just a certificate for the establishment. Edwige Gufflet, CEO of L’Aventure du Sucre says: “Obtaining the Certificate of Excellence has shown us that we were going in the right direction, and of course we are very proud. Being awarded the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence 2016 is for our whole team a very important recognition.” 

The CEO shares that the latest opinion entry received lately on the website greatly depict their customers’ satisfaction among: ‘Exciting’, ‘A must do’, ‘Great place’, ‘Amazing!’, ‘Very interesting tour’, ‘Excellent museum’ or those on Le Fangourin restaurant: ‘Fantastic food, setting and service – highly recommend’, ‘well-deserved gourmet break after the visit...’ , ‘Best prawn salad and service’, ‘Wonderful food and service. A must’.

L’Aventure du Sucre is even more proud and honoured to also receive this year two additional awards namely the Experts Choice Award by the website TripExpert for its museum and was ranked in the website’s ‘Best of’ the most rated attractions. L’Aventure du Sucre occupies the second position on 14 selected attractions in Mauritius. In 2016, TripExpert awarded the Experts’ Choice Awards to 5,000 hotels, restaurants and attractions in more than 80 countries. This distinction is based on the opinions of specialised magazines and travel guide professionals such as Lonely Planet, Michelin Guide or Fodor’s Travel. “Our expert sources recommend L’Aventure du Sucre as a great cultural experience,” said Chris Blume, TripExpert’s Chief Content Officer. “They are impressed with the museum’s dedication to teaching visitors Mauritius’s history and the history of sugar cane.”
