Kushboo Ramnawaj at the 65th Miss Universe Pageant

Miss Universe Mauritius Kushboo Ramnawaj has flown to Manilla, Philippines, to participate in the 65th Miss Universe Pageant. Kushboo has joined 88 other contestants from around the world to win the coveted title on Sunday January 29th (Mauritius Monday January 30th). During her three week stay, our Miss Universe Mauritius will be touring the islands of the Philippines with the other contestants, meeting dignitaries, helping the local NGOs, filming for the show and rehearsing for the live telecast. 

Khusboo has been flying to Asia thanks to Estrella Mauritius, the new license holder of Miss Universe Mauritius and flag carrier Air Mauritius. Kushboo’s wardrobe consists of haute couture evening gowns and cocktail dresses designed by Kirsten Regalado, Sweetie Ramlagun, Sumaiyyah Dilmahomed. Khusboo has received over 30 hours of professional makeup application training by Sajeeda Yadallee from Sajed Makeup. Our Miss Universe Mauritius has also received the best hair treatment from Kathleen from Katbalou and nail treatment from Naily Grace Parlour. Vinod from Vino Hair Designer did Kushboo’s final treatment and hair colour. Melinda Tiwari from Mel.T did Kushboo’s hair styling.

During her stay, Khusboo will be wearing shoes from Dominique Filleul, owner of Aldo, Sports wear from City Sports and using products from MAC cosmetics, hair and skin care from L’Occitane and Ole Henriksen. Mauritius’s national costume this year has been inspired by Chamarel with its ‘Seven Coloured Earth’ and her charity auction gift is a beautiful painting of the UNESCO site ‘Le Morne Brabant’ by landscape artist Mr Surren Seruttun.
