Huawei unveiled its flagship P30 series and other interesting technology accessories on Tuesday in Paris, France during a conference consisting of more than a thousand journalists and business people from around the world. It was a launch full of surprises, with the scent of innovations wafting in the air.
Huawei aims to be the world leading mobile phone manufacturer, said the CEO of Huawei Richard Yu. With the innovative features of the P30 series, there is no doubt that Huawei has already set the pace for others to follow. The P30 series is a revolutionary phone with its photography features. “The HUAWEI P30 Series will set the pace for the next generation of smartphones by empowering people to capture the true beauty of the world around them through a device that fits in the palm of their hands.”
The P30 features a SuperSensing 40MP Leica Triple Camera system while P30 Pro is equipped with a SuperSensing 40MP Leica made quad camera system. The camera has the capacity to take long distance photos, pictures in the dark and under water. Another innovative feature is the optical zoom. P30 has a 3x optical zoom, 5x hybrid zoom and 30x digital zoom capability. The P30 Pro has a periscope telephoto lens allowing it to have a wide coal range of 16mm to 1,343mm. It has a zoom of 5X, 10 hybrid zoom and 50x digital zoom.
Redefining Smartphone Videography
The HUAWEI P30 Series is a smartphone camera with cinematic capabilities. The HUAWEI P30 Series ushers in a new era of studio-grade videography. The HUAWEI SuperSpectrum Sensor enables spectacular low-light video capture so that night scenes appear bright and highly detailed. HUAWEI AIS and OIS support stabilization for all video capture settings, resulting in a perfect, steady shot. Additionally, the SuperZoom Lens allows for crisp close-ups, while the AI Video Editor enables users to add background music and special effects to their videos, turning the HUAWEI P30 Series into a mobile production studio.
Two views are better than one. HUAWEI Dual-View Video1 can capture two perspectives of the same scene at the same time by using multiple cameras simultaneously. The HUAWEI P30 Series provides a full view of a scene while also capturing a close-up of a subject, unleashing new and exciting possibilities for video.
Designs and battery
Water and dust resistant, the P30 and P30 Pro comes in two different sizes. The P30 is 6.1 inch with OLED display while the P30 Pro is 6.47 inch with OLED display. The phones will come in the following colours: Breathing Crystal, Amber Sunrise, Aurora, Pearl White and Black. Moreover, the P30 comes with a 3,650 mAh battery, and the P30 Pro comes with a 4,200 mAh battery. Interestingly, the batteries have a Super Fast 40W SuperCharge charging allowing 70% charge in just 30 minutes.
Price
The Huawei has been priced as from Euro 999 (Rs38 000) and the P30 Pro as from Euro 1,090 (Rs 40,000). Mauritian buyers need to wait a little more before it reaches our shores.
Other accessories launched
Along with the launch of the P30 series, Huawei has also launched several other accessories. For example, Huawei has unveiled a Power Bank that can charge all electronic gadgets with a power of 40W and a capacity of 12,000 mAh.
There is also the unveiling of the Gentle Monster specs, a smart spec from Huawei, which will be launched in July 2019. According to CEO Richard Yu, with these glasses, you will be able to listen to music in stereo and take calls.
During this conference, the Chinese company also launched its new FreeLace and FreeBuds Lite headphones. The Freelace can be recharged directly with a connection to the USB-C port of the P30 phones. These headphones have a battery life of up to 18 hours. With a charge of only five minutes, you can use it for about four hours.
