High Commissioner of India leaves

Anup Kumar Mudgal, the High Commissioner of India to Mauritius, will leave the country this week-end after having served here for more than two years. Anup Kumar Mudgal has been very active during his stay in Mauritius and supervised arrangements for the official visit of the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi as chief guest for the 2015 Independence Day celebrations. He followed very closely the DTAA agreement signed between Mauritius and India and visa facilities offered to Mauritians visiting India. Speaking to the media, he said: “I am very satisfied with the work accomplished and I leave Mauritius with happy memories of a unique country which has marked my 30-year career as a diplomat.”
