Sadly, all our holiday plans got cancelled due to that. At first, we were all scared but then we contacted our family doctor. At that time it was new for us and didn’t know how to handle the matter. For the first four days, all of us at home were extremely sick and couldn’t do anything. In that situation, my uncle helped us by bringing food and our family also helped us whenever we needed medicine. We made sure that all our meals were balanced, and we also followed all the remedies such as drinking warm lemonade, eating ginger, and all other foodstuff with higher pH than corona. Most importantly, we all stayed home to avoid infecting friends and neighbours,” she explains.
Haadiya added that it took her and her family two weeks to recover and get back to their normal life. She reveals however that she and her family never felt discriminated after having Covid-19. “Our lives had not been easy but by the Grace of God, we managed to fight and we have survived and my family was very caring towards us. They never let us feel discriminated against. I believe that being infected with Covid-19 should not be an issue. People should stop saying negative things about others just because they have the virus, try to put yourself in their shoes before saying bad things. The virus itself is already a bitter pill to swallow so adding that with negative sentiments only make things worse, so please take coronavirus just like all the other diseases in the world. Actually, people should help each other because it’s a tough time and mental health is extremely important thus instead of treating them differently we should boost them and be nice to them,” she utters.
