FootFive SummerSlam 2016
FootFive Bagatelle is organising its first edition of the SummerSlam tournament. The event is opened for youth aged between 15 to 25 years irrespective of gender. The registration is open until December 11th at Footfive’s reception at Bagatelle. Note that the tournament is limited to the first 128 teams. The tournaments will take place from Monday December 12th to Friday December 16th from noon to 5pm. During four days, namely from Monday to Thursday, the qualifications of 32 teams will be done. Out of these 32 teams, eight teams will be qualified each day for the finale of the tournament which will take place on Friday. The tournament will be direct knock-out and will last for 20 minutes (2 halves of 10mins). The number of players per team is of minimum 5 and maximum 8. The fee is of Rs200 per player. The prize of the SummerSlam 2016 will be a cash prize of Rs 50,000.
Discover sea life at Blue Bay beach
After a successful first edition, the Lagon Bleu association is back with the “Anou dekouver nou fon marin” event. The event, which aims at giving Mauritians, young and old the opportunity to discover the beauty of the local marine ecosystem and the importance of protecting it, is taking place on December 10th on the Blue Bay public beach. A series of activities to sensitise the grand public will be organised by Lagon Bleu association: snorkelling for the beginners and experienced people as well. Beach games, educative workshops on coral reefs, mangroves, etc. Also on the program an exhibition of the works undertaken by the various non-governmental Organizations which militate for the preservation of the marine environment. This activity will be held from 9am to 4pm. This event is a result of the Lagon Bleu project, carried out by the NGO Eco-Sud, whose mission is to contribute to restoring the ecological and biological integrity of the site by raising awareness among fishermen, tourism operators and coastal residents.
Lucozade Pop Run
If you are of full energy, do not miss the Lucozade Pop Run taking place this Saturday December 10th in Tamarin from 3pm to 10pm. The six kilometre run will be full of surprises and fun. You can enjoy the event with family and friends. The run will end at Tamarin Bay where a sundowner music festival will take place. The festival will feature a DJ line-up, dance show, massive colour throws, photos souvenir and more surprises. The post-race party promises to be unique experience in Mauritius, so don’t miss it. The event is opened to those aged above 16 years – from first time runners to seasoned athletes. The price per ticket is at Rs 200. You will have to abide by the three golden rules: start with a clean white tee-shirt and finish the race in a colorful attire and have FUN! Anasheed Night for Orphans
The Islamic Relief of Mauritius is organising the Anasheed Night for the Orphans on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th December. The aim of this event is to raise funds for orphans around the world and to reach out to those in need. The event will feature Mesut Kurtis. The 1st event will take place at the Auditorium Octave Wiehe, Réduit. The event will start with the Fair at 5pm. The show starts at 7.45pm to 10pm. Islamic articles and foodstuffs will be on sale as from 17.00 to 22.00pm. The second event will take place at the Islamic Cultural Centre Port Louis on Sunday from 7.45pm to 10pm. 5th edition of AnimeNext 2016
Boys and girls, fans of anime, do not miss the 5th edition of AnimeNext 2016. The grand event is taking place on Sunday December 11th from 11am to 8pm at the Chung Shan Hall, Remy Ollier Street Port Louis. AnimeNext 2016, the yearly Japanese culture and gaming event in Mauritius, organised by the AnimeNext Mauritius team. This year you can enjoy cosplay, live performances, flashmob, gaming events, merchandise booths and lots of surprises. Tickets are available at Xgen Rose Hill. Azuri Christmas Market 2016
Azuri Mauritius in Haute Rive, Roche Noires, Riviere du Rempart, is organising its Christmas Market on December 10th as from 4.30pm. Entrance will be free and the azuri village will be open to all. For the adults - you will find many gift ideas for Christmas, decorations, jewellery, shoes, clothes, crafts, fruits and veggies, cakes and sweets among others. For kids – enjoy the bouncing castle, face painting session, cotton candy, pop corn, street foods such as burgers, crepes, hotdog, ice cream among others. Solidarity Concert
With the aim of helping the Petit Bouchon Benevolant Association, a free solidarity concert will be organised this Sunday December 11th on the public beach of Le Bouchon. The free concert will take place from noon to 8pm. Various artists will be present among Natir Chamarel, Hans Nayna, Mulaeo, Renaissance, Latanier, Prophecy, Claudio Veeraragoo among others. The other objective of this concert is also to raise funds in order to save the Le Bouchon lagoon from disaster by replanting Manglars.
