Floralia

Isabelle Warden is a woman who has got creativity and a real talent for art. Guided by her passion, she has created Floralia, a small business based on flower arrangement and other artistic products. Let’s meet this woman entrepreneur whose dream has surely come up roses…

Shakespeare once said: “What’s in a name?” But we can all catch the main purpose of the small entrepreneurship Floralia behind its name. Floralia is a small business whose activity is mainly floral arrangement. Isabelle Warden, the director of Floralia, tells us that her creativity and dexterity has enabled her to launch this small enterprise of hers.

“The opportunity to put my creativity and dexterity at the service of art has encouraged me in opening a business like Floralia,” confides Isabelle. Nonetheless, even if Floralia is her pride and is successful, Isabelle reveals that it has not always been the case and that she faced tremendous obstacles: “I had a dream which was Floralia and I wanted to fulfill it. It seemed so easy when it was in my imagination. But I had to face the ugly truth and reality while realising it. The path was very difficult and I had to overcome many barriers. But it happened that I met the appropriate people who gave me a helping hand. And today, I am still receiving help from my surrounding to promote my work and creativity.”

Despite her talent, Isabelle advocates that she had to follow courses to reach perfection in her work: “The ministry of Gender Equality, Child Development and Family Welfare was offering courses on floral arrangement and painting. I didn’t think twice and I have devoted myself to this course for women entrepreneurs. This has enabled me discover in detail the artistic field. In 2016, Floralia was born. And I was so pleased,” she recalls. In order to acquire the “entrepreneur attitude,” Isabelle says that she has been assisted by Project Esafodaz. “I turned to Project Esafodaz for marketing purposes. It is a project which has always wanted to put forward the local handicrafts and to value entrepreneurship. I was so keen by this concept that I decided to follow some training on the subject. I can assure you that both courses have helped me a great deal to reach my objectives. Even if there is still more to go ahead,” she declares. Isabelle points out that she is working in collaboration with Esafodaz to promote her works to be able to target clients.

However, Isabelle has not always been a woman entrepreneur. She confides that after her school years, she has worked in other places and fields trying to find her vocation. “After my school years, I have worked as secretary for different companies, especially those in the construction field. They were definitely not for me. I worked just for the sake of working. But I never stopped in trying to find my vocation. So I became a housewife during eight years. During this period of time, I was still looking for my passion. And I finally found it one day. This was how the adventure began,” she recalls.

Besides her passionate work and family life, she still finds time to help needy people since at some point of her life, she needed help from others. With a thankful heart, Isabelle says: “I will always find time to help people around me. If today, I have reached that far, it is because I have benefited from a helping hand myself. We all need some help at some point of our lives. We should never feel too proud to help or to accept help.”

A woman who has definitely a lot to offer.
