I have a new standard to judge my fellow human beings.

I judge them by their humanitarian concerns about oppressed people round the world.

How can people remain indifferent or impassive to what is going on around them? I don’t understand because I feel very emotional when I see injustice anywhere in the world.

Since October 2025, I have followed and started to appreciate people whom before I did not have much respect for because of their vocal support to the Palestinian cause.

Pep Guardiola is one of them. In my mind, he is a very good Football Manager but I always temperate my judgment by advancing that he has trained very good teams with proper managed clubs backed by big finance.

But I revised my judgment when I saw how he went out of his way to support the Catalan independence. For so doing, he has faced disciplinary action but he was not deterred and was fined £ 20,000. In 2018, for wearing a yellow ribbon in support of jailed Catalan independence. He is a brave man!

Being a long time Manchester United fan, I feel that he deserves a lot of respect. Respect for Pep who did not shy away from just causes despite knowing full well that the Zionist Press will not forgive him…

And recently on 29th January 2026, Pep Guardiola renews public support for Palestine at charity event in Spain.

On that day, Pep Guardiola wore a kuffiyeh as he condemned without equivocal the suffering of Palestinian children in Gaza. During his speech, Pep Guardiola condemned global silence over the suffering of Palestinian children in Gaza. He said: “We have left them alone, abandoned”.

The address to more than 12,000 people at Palau Sant Jordi during The Act x Palestine concert, a “concert manifesto” that closed a campaign organised by human rights groups, cultural organisations and activists to fund grassroots humanitarian aid and cultural reconstructions projects in Palestine.

Pep Guardiola opened his remarks in Arabic “Good evening, Assalam alaykum (Peace be upon you)” before launching into what he called a manifesto for humanity.

Pep Guardiola went on to condemn the silence and global cowardice of global leaders, accusing the powerful of allowing innocent people to kill other innocents while remaining insulated from the consequences.

Pep Guardiola also said that the charity concert is not only an act of solidarity with Palestinians, but as a wider stand for human dignity.

During the concert, there was music with protest, grief and defiance.

It was not an isolated gesture from Pep Guardiola. Pep has repeatedly spoken out on Gaza in recent years, describing the situation as something that “hurts my whole body”. In November 2025, Pep supported a Catalonia vs Palestine charity match at Barcelona’s Olympic Stadium to honour the 400 Palestinian athletes killed during the conflict.

Pep’s message was a challenge to all human beings to refuse indifference…

Respect Pep! May God bless you!

And in Mauritius have you heard our Prime Minister saying something strong against the genocide of the Palestinians? Have you? But on Eid day, many politicians will come to Plaine-Verte where they will hold cosmetic speeches about Palestine…

And as idiots, you will be fooled…
