Team SYNthesis (Mauritius & Africa) Ltd, in collaboration with the University of Technology, Mauritius (UTM) held the 8th Annual Leadership Award on the October 21st at Ithe nterContinental Resort, Balaclava.

With ‘Innovating Strategic Growth through Leadership and Good Governance in Mauritius and Beyond…’ as the theme, this year’s gathering was graced by the Vice-President Paramasivum Pillay Vyapoory, GOSK in the presence of 250 industry captains (Chairmen, CEOs, DGs, GMs) and participants of the Project Leadership Certification (PLC) course.
The event was attended by VVIP guests from five countries namely India, Singapore, Malaysia, Germany and Korea. Into its 10th year, the national leadership PLC course has successfully attracted more than 5,500 leaders from Mauritius and 64 other regional and international countries, thus supporting Mauritius aspirations to be the Centre of Excellence in the development of Human Capital Competence, Leadership & Management.
This year’s edition brought together participants across all the industries with a common vision to develop and celebrate leadership excellence. H.E Vice-President Mr Paramasivum Pillay Vyapoory, GOSK presented Top Corporate and Hall of Fame Honors to leading organizations committed to developing leadership competency.

In his address, the Vice-President emphasized on the importance of good Governance and how it can be achieved to lead a more prosperous life. Paramasivum Pillay VYAPOORY, GOSK, made a passionate speech on innovation mentioning how important it is in this new era of globalization.
The Organizing Committee Chairman, TAN Chee-Peng, who is the CEO of Business Technovise International (based in Singapore) & Team SYNthesis, highlighted the importance of strategic growth in making things happen. He also elaborated how PLC continued to fulfill the entrusted responsibility to make a meaningful difference to the participants through its impactful formal-social-experiential outcome-based learning approach. Continuous access to the latest trends and best practices, and online access to the various Chief Instructors for ongoing coaching/mentoring have been incorporated to facilitate accelerated learning. “The continuous post-training engagement, via Quarterly Talks and Annual Leadership Events, have uniquely contributed to the successful practice outcome of our participants,” said Mr Tan.
