3rd seminar by NINE

NINE – ‘Normal Is Not Enough’ group of young professionals from different sectors organized its 3rd seminar on Saturday, November 26th.  On the occasion over a hundred youth were counseled on study choices and career prospects. In his speech, the Minister of TIC, Etienne Sinatambou, pointed out the job opportunities in the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) sector and the BPO market. Guest of honor of the event, the Minister also shared his vision for the next 4 years.

Etienne Sinatambou explained that he wishes to open the ICT and BPO niche for professionals from different sectors. In the same line, he announced the objective of setting up a ‘high-end’ BPO industry with the help of internationally renowned companies. The other speaker at the seminar was Professor Govin Appavou, researcher at the Open University. The latter made an exposure of the jobs of the future and the appropriate studies that can help to get them. 

The other speakers were Caleb Samy, member of the Christian Chamber of Commerce of Mauritius, and Kervin Caroopen, Events Producer at MAKARIOS Production and J & J Auditorium. They both shared their experiences and the secret of their professional success. NINE’s seminar was organized in collaboration with the Christian Chamber of Commerce of Mauritius.
