12 mars : Fazila Daureeawoo, le Dr Joël de Rosnay et le père Jocelyn Grégoire parmi les décorés de la République

Ce lundi 12 mars, à l'occasion de la fête nationale, la République de Maurice récompense ceux dont elle on estime qu'ils ont œuvré dans l'intérêt national.

Trois noms figurent sur la liste de ceux qui ont été élevés au rang de Grand Commander of the Order of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean (GCSK). L'on retrouve Fazila Jeewa-Daureeawoo, qui continue son ascension au sein du gouvernement. Après avoir été propulsée sur le front bench du gouvernement en 2017, elle se voit attribuer le titre de GCSK pour avoir œuvré dans les domaines social et politique. 

Le Dr Joël de Rosnay reçoit également cette distinction pour sa contribution au domaine de la recherche et de l'environnement. Il avait, pour rappel, déjà servi comme conseiller spécial de l'ancien Premier ministre Navin Ramgoolam. 

Le Chief Executive Officer (CEO) de Business Mauritius, Raj Makoond, complète la liste des GCSK pour sa contribution au secteur économique. 

Six personnes ont été élevées au rang de Grand Officer of the Order of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean (GOSK). Il s'agit du commissaire électoral Irfan Rahman pour sa contribution dans le domaine de la démocratie et des élections, le secrétaire au cabinet Nayen Koomar Ballah pour sa contribution à la fonction publique, le père Jocelyn Grégoire a lui été récompensé pour sa contribution dans le domaine religieux, Purnima Gunness pour sa contribution au domaine de la recherche, Jacques Li Wan Po pour sa contribution au commerce et le Dr Gowreeshankursing Rajpati pour sa contribution à l'agriculture.
