The first term school holidays are here. Since we know that you have studied hard and that you well deserve this break, we have a list of activities that will help you relax, have fun and enjoy your ‘jolly’ days.

Mauritius Dancing Star 2017

The Mauritius Dancing Star Competition is back. Organised by Rajasthan Works, the biggest dance competition in Mauritius is at its 5th edition. Mauritians in the age groups of 4-14 and 15-28 years are called to participate in this fun-filled event. An initial selection of 30 of the top contestants from each group will be carried out. The chosen contestants will then participate in the semi-finals, which will be held at Home Wonders - 2017 at the Freeport, Mer Rouge, on April 8th for the 4-14 years of age and on April 9th for the 15- 28 years of age. 

There will be two rounds during the semi-finals namely Prop Round and Free Dance Style.

The jury will select the Top 5 contestants from each group based on of their performance, stage presence, costume, dancing talent, prop use and facial expression. The Grand Finale will be held on the 21st April 2017 for the Top 5 Finalists from each group. Note that participation in this dance competition is free.

Bowling Fun with Strike City Bagatelle

Have you ever dreamt of playing bowling? It’s time to enjoy a fun bowling tournament with your friends at Stroke City at Bagatelle Mall of Mauritius. The activity is open to teens as well as children. However, for the children, it is better for parents to verify with the Strike City teams if their children have the required age. Prices start as from Rs 200 per player during peak time and 10% less during peak time. You can also enjoy pool and karaoke. You can also have a bite on spot at the restaurant which serves both lunch and dinner. Strike City is open from 10am to 11.45 pm Monday to Thursday and up to 2am on Friday and Saturday. Holiday Programme with CocoTown Kids

Discover fun themed activities, games, crafts and outings for this April Holiday at CocoTown Kids. You can book as follows: Rs 600 per day, Rs 5,000 for 10 full days or Rs 8,000 for 20 full days (April 10th to April 28th). Optional Outings are on the programme for Wednesday April 12th at Domaine Etoile Kids at Rs 1,200 and Wednesday April 19th at Club Med at Rs 1,200. Note that food, snacks and drinks are included.

Fun activities at Parc Loisir Gros Cailloux

Spend a fun day at Parc Loisir at Gros Cailloux. Various activities are available to children as from age five and six among the Parc Eveil with the many animals, ziplines, water activities such as kayak, quad biking, rollers, bikes. Adrenaline with Casela World of Adventures  

Those who love or who are looking for adrenaline will definitely enjoy this activity. Youngsters, don’t miss your chance to ride either one of the dry toboggans, the Tubby Jump or the Tubby Slide at Casela World of Adventures. Family Fun Day with PMCC

The Pioneer Memorial Community Church of Pointe aux Sables is organising a family fun day on Sunday April 9th as from 9am to 4pm. The event is taking place on the football ground of La Tour Koenig. The programme consists of: Face Painting, Bouncing Castle, Domino Tournament, Football Torunament, Races. Food will be sold on spot. The public in general is invited.
