Gooljaury starts community service

Rakesh Gooljaury went to the Curepipe Probation Hostel for Boys on Wednesday morning to perform community service, as ordered to him by the Intermediate Court. This probation center is known to take charge of children beyond control. For his first day, businessman Rakesh Gooljaury cleaned the windows and mopped the floor. He ended his first community service hours at around noon. He is expected to go back on Friday. Gooljaury was found guilty of effecting public mischief in the Roches Noires case. His three-month prison sentence on 18 April was commuted to 90 hours of community service, which will end on 9 November.
