Affaire Maxamore/Aspara : 12 mois de disqualification et Rs 100 000 d’amende pour Gilbert Rousset

Le verdict est tombé ce lundi matin 3 décembre. L’entraîneur Gilbert Rousset a été disqualifié pour une période de douze mois et a écopé d’une amende de Rs 100 000 dans le cadre de l’affaire Maxamore/Aspara. 

Gilbert Rousset, qui est représenté par Me Gavin Glover, a déjà fait appel de cette sanction. 

Pour rappel, du Stanozolol, un produit prohibé avait été retrouvé dans l’échantillon d’urine et de sang des chevaux Maxamore et Asapara, victorieux les 12 et 26 mai dernier respectivement.

Ces deux coursiers avaient été suspendus pour six mois.

L’entraineur Gilbert Rousset avait été trouvé coupable le 13 novembre dernier dans cette l’affaire après la rencontre du Board of Racing Stewards.

Prevention and detection of doping - 208 A (5) 

Notwithstanding paragraph (4) (b) when a sample taken at any time from a horse under the responsibility of a licensed trainer, after analysis is found to contain any illicit substance, the trainer and any other person in charge of such horse at the relevant time shall be guilty of an offence and be liable to any of the penalties provided in Rule 11 (d) unless that person can prove to the satisfaction of the Racing Stewards that he had, at all times, taken all reasonable and permissible measures to prevent the administration of such illicit substance.
